ഗാന്ധി തിരിച്ചെത്തിയതിന്റെ 100 വര്‍ഷം തികഞ്ഞതിന്റെ ഓര്‍മ പുതുക്കി നാണയങ്ങളും സ്റ്റാമ്പുകളും പുറത്തിറക്കി.
മഹാത്മാ ഗാന്ധി ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയില്‍ നിന്ന് ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്കു തിരിച്ചുവന്നതിന്റെ ശതാ ബ്ദിയോടനുബ ന്ധിച്ച് നാണയങ്ങളും സ്റ്റാമ്പുകളും പുറത്തിറക്കി. പ്രവാസി ഭാരതീയ ദിവസിന്റെ 13ാം സമ്മേളന വേദിയായ ഗുജറാത്തിലെ ഗാന്ധിനഗറില്‍ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയാണ് നാണയവും സ്റ്റാമ്പുകളും പ്രകാശനം ചെയ്തത്.

He returned (1915) to India with a stature equal to that of the nationalist leaders Gopal Krishna Gokhale and Bal Gangadhar Tilak. Gandhi actively supported the British in World War I
in the hope of hastening India's freedom, but he also led agrarian and
labor reform demonstrations that embarrassed the British. The Amritsar
massacre of 1919 stirred Indian nationalist consciousness, and Gandhi
organized several satyagraha campaigns. He discontinued them when,
against his wishes, violent disorder ensued.
